2025 Virginia Youth Conference

Last weekend, a team from KwaSizabantu joined the team at Virginia Mission to host a Youth Conference. The weekend was intense and rewarding. Young and old joined hands in service, as we all helped with cooking, carrying, and cleaning. It truly was a team effort and we were blessed by the opportunity to work together.
With great excitement and energy, 1,600 young people from districts around Virginia gathered for open air services held on the mission’s concrete stadium. There is something truly special about meetings held in the open air, and this weekend was no exception. The team at KSB Virginia did an incredible job preparing the grounds and accommodation in preparation for the event.

The visiting youth came from all walks of life, with many coming from underprivileged backgrounds. Often, such children have faced the absence of love and nurture in their upbringing, carrying heavy burdens with them. They live in a constant state of fight or flight. Their stories were deeply moving. It was heartwarming to witness many of them respond to Christ’s call. Many children left the conference with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.

We were humbled to witness God’s mercy in action, as He promises in Ezekiel 34:16a, “I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick…”
We pray that the seeds of God’s word planted during the four days will continue to grow in their hearts as they return to their schools and communities.
