Easter Conference 2025
The 2025 KwaSizabantu Easter conference took place from 18-20 April where the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ was commemorated. The theme Here is love was taken from the beautiful hymn by William Rees:
Here is love, vast as the ocean
Loving-kindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, my ransom
Shed for me His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He shall never be forgotten
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days.
Thousands of congregants and visitors arrived from all over South Africa and abroad, remembering with gratitude the great gift of Christ’s death and resurrection. The messages brought by KwaSizabantu coworkers challenged all present to ‘stay watch with Jesus’, be washed in the precious blood of Jesus and live in the resurrection power of the risen Christ.
We were honoured to have Deputy President Paul Mashatile and Mrs Humile Mashatile join us for the Easter Sunday morning service. He expressed his admiration for the work of KwaSizabantu Mission and conveyed the government's desire to partner with KwaSizabantu, noting that the mission not only spread the gospel but empowered people by teaching them valuable skills.
The Deputy President expressed his appreciation for the work accomplished by Reverend Stegen which he carried out devotedly, regardless of the political and social challenges of the time.
Who could return to their homes after the blessings of the weekend untouched, and without a desire to sing His praises, at such love, ‘vast as the ocean, Loving-kindness as the flood’?
